Stroop Test
A classic cognitive psychology test that measures processing speed and cognitive control. Can you ignore what the word says and focus on its color?
Game Settings
How to Play
- A color word appears on screen (like "BLUE") but printed in a different ink color (like red)
- In Name the Color mode, tap the button matching the INK COLOR (not what the word says)
- In Read the Word mode, tap what the WORD says (ignore the ink color)
- Switch Mode alternates between rules each trial
The Stroop Effect
Your brain automatically reads words, which creates interference when trying to name the ink color. This tests your ability to inhibit automatic responses - a key executive function.
